Roxanne

Roxanne is a mysterious rival to Kate and her friends. She works for Queen Zeph as a spy, often carrying out assassinations and gathering intel from other people for the benefit of the Moonbright government. She’s flirtatious, and yet very conniving, but it’s for the “cause” as she says. She’s very charismatic and she loves attention, and as a spy, sometimes that’d conflict with those desires. Though, she hasn't always been a spy. Her family comes from a neighboring kingdom from the depths of the oceans, Oceador. Everyone there, including her, are actually shapeshifting sirens and mermaids. Her family was very rich and had good relations with Queen Zeph and King Kade, and basically enrolled her at the same prestigious school as Jamie and Ophelia. She terrorized Ophelia in their younger years, and often Jamie had to put a stop to it. Though, nothing much was done about it, as Jamie’s family loved her family so much that it was never truly brought up as a topic of discussion. It only got worse when Jamie had to turn to homeschooling, not knowing what Roxanne would be up to. It was to his horror that Roxanne decided to work for his family as a spy after all these years. 

One day, Zeph sends Roxanne on a mission to the human world. She has to work undercover to gather intel about Kate's world. It seemed easy enough for Roxanne, so she decided to go for it. Soon after arriving, she decided to hit up a college party to see if she could meet anyone close to Kate – but mostly to have fun and have an excuse to learn human customs. She meets Jayde at a party, and quickly realizes that Jayde knows Kate personally. So, she is determined to know as much information about him and Kate, alongside his friends. Though, as the two get closer, she slowly but surely starts to appreciate Earth. She becomes attached with her newfound friendship with Jayde and his friend group, and it was one of the few times where she felt like she didn’t have to uphold any standard. So now, she must decide if she should carry out her mission as intended, or follow her heart.
